Janice D’Souza(Center Manager )

Kia ora,
My name is Janice D’Souza, and I am a qualified and fully registered teacher in New Zealand. I have 5 years of experience working with children aged 3m - 5y at Young World Childcare Centre. In these 5 years I have been a kaiako, a team lead, a mentor and an advocate to all those around me. I have always enjoyed being around children. I discovered my passion for working alongside them after our daughter was born. I strongly believe that children are competent and capable of constructing their own learning by exploring the world around them. My personal philosophy is based on reciprocal relationships and open communication with tamariki, parents, whānau and kaiako. I am looking forward to strengthening the philosophy in Merryland.
